I'm an artist based in Malmö, southern Sweden. Since about ten years my work has been focused on using different kinds of paper as a sculpting medium. Since 2019 i've used mainly cardboard. The specific properties of this material sparked my interest in experimenting and building architectural pieces as well as sculpting. I simply fell in love with the texture and colour of cardboard and was attracted to the feeling of graceful simplicity that the material offers. It is a material with a lot of potential, for example, cardboard has a very low weight but is yet very strong which allows me to make a fairly large piece of work that I still can handle without much effort. I think that I'm a person who functions best when challenged in new ways and almost every new project brings me to new insights. It often feels like cardboard has infinite possibilities, you just have to think in the right way, and this is perhaps the greatest inspiration for me. I like to show people and inspire in what ways it can be used, all you have to do is to learn the right technique for your purpose.
